The UPC-3 Universal PAT CalibratorIn 2002, Albury Calibration & Engineering developed a PAT Calibrator capable of testing and calibrating most Portable Appliance Testers. The latest model, the UPC-3 Universal PAT Calibrator, will calibrate all PATs, including PAT units that check Leakage Current. Please note that Worksafe / Workcover will require correct safety procedures to be implemented to Australian Standards. The relevant Australian Standard: AS 3760 (2003) “In service safety inspection and testing of electrical equipment” requires all Personal Appliance Testers (PATs) to be calibrated every 12 months.
HOW DOES IT WORK?The UPC-3 represents a ‘dummy’ appliance to any PAT. It will test the PAT calibration status of any Appliance Tester or PAT . The UPC-3 will determine both PASS and FAIL conditions for the following:
